Re: Wavy Wav Recorder problem « Result #1 on Nov 2, 2009, 11:01am »
It's ok. If Windows Mediaplayer can't read .wav files that any other audio application I tried does not have any problem with I don't see that as a problem with the .wav files, but rather as a problem with Windows Mediaplayer.
I created a package from packaging wizard then loaded this to my web site. When I run the setup.exe from my web page I receive:
Installation aborted becasue of missing or corrupt setup.lst file. please contact vendor for assistnace.
I have deleted this file and replaced it but same message.
Do I need to do something different since it is installing from my web site?
Thanks - LB coder wanna be
The setup.exe requires the setup.lst file. If you attempt to "run" it from the web, it is actually downloaded to your computer. This is not exclusive to this program. Every single thing you view or run from the web in this way is actually downloaded to your computer. It must be on your computer for you to access it. You'll find a large cache of "temporary internet files" that includes images from all of the web pages you've visited, and similar stuff.
This installer is not meant to be run "online." You'll have to zip the files and ask the user to download the zipped archive, unzip to a temporary location, then run the setup.exe program.
Wavy Wav Recorder problem « Result #4 on Oct 25, 2009, 10:27am »
Atempting to use the Wavy Wav Recorder (either version) I get the problem that the saved .wav files won't play in Windows Mediaplayer.
Wavy Wav Recorder can playback the recording just fine, and other LB programs can play the .wavs just fine too. (Audacity does not have any problem with the .wav files either). But Windows Mediaplayer gives the error message: "Not much memory left" (which shouldn't be a problem since I have about 20 GB available diskspace).
I run it on Windows XP - I have tried different bit/samplerate combinations but the result is the same.
Thanks, now I just need my LibertyBASIC registration but they haven't responded yet.
When you receive it, print it out and keep it in a safe place. You can also email it to yourself at a web-based email account like gmail or hotmail. You can put it on a thumb drive or burn it to a CD. I have done this with all of my software registration info, as well as for my website and forum info.
