Hello, I am new to the forum and new to LB. I downloaded the LBW but does not install since keeps looking for XP Professional with FrontPage. I am running XP Home edition and do not have Front Page since I do not need it. Do I have to buy XP Professional and FrontPage in order to run the LBW? I will appreciate any input regarding this issue. Thank you in advance. Luis.

That's very odd! There is no requirement for XP pro, or for Front Page. I've never had Front Page installed on any computer. I am out of the office for an extended period, so I cannot easily check to see what might be causing the problem. I'm sorry you cannot install LBW. There are other editors, tools and form designers for Liberty BASIC. For some of them, check the Announcements board at the community forum: libertybasic.conforums.com/

Alyce, Thanks for your fast response.
I un-installed and re-installed LBW and wrote down the sequence of events. This might help you to understand what is going on. -Decompress file. -Run Setup.exe >>>>Installed OK and final MSG. that installation is completed was displayed. -Icon installed itself in the Start >> Programs >> etc. -When icon is clicked it launch LBW, a window with the MSG: "Preparing to Install" appears and later the MSG " a file is needed for installation please insert XP Professional with Front Page" is displayed.
There was another MSG. embedded in the last one. "looking for file PROPLUS.MSI". I did search for this file but could not find it.
The odd thing is that LBW installs OK. But when I want to run it, Windows starts preparing for installing of something and goes into a loop and have to "CTRL+ALT+DEL" to kill the process.
However, whenever you or any of the members of this forum comes with any idea or possible explanation on what it is going on, please let me know. I like this LBW and would like to try it.
Thank you. Luis.

Alyce, I uninstalled and reinstalled LBW again. What I find out is that by clicking Cancel every time the Msg. "preparing for install" comes up (may be three or four times) LBW starts. As soon as I click any function in LBW (i.e. New GUI, etc. etc.) the msg "preparing to install" comes again and by clicking cancel it goes away for a while, till a new function is clicked. I do not know if this is of much help but there might be some other members that might have a similar problem.
However, nice work with LBW, congratulations!! I like it but it is unfortunate I cannot fully use it with this problem.
What language has been used to write LBW? LB?
Thanks Luis.
