Bug? I suspect that this query should be directed to the FORUM but to register they ask for a YAHOO e-mail address which I do not have1 Query: I downloaded the Workshop this morning- activated it successfully and changed the PREFERENCE for loaded file to 'latest'. I did not load a .bas file - this might have been my mistake as every subsequent attempt to start the .exe file resulted in: PATH/FILE ACCESS ERROR. I tried uninstalling and downloading again (twice into different drives) - no change. I wondered if the lbasic400.ini file was to blame but could not erase it. Liberty Basic has a file st6unst.log file which holds the name of the 'latest' .bas file but could not find a Workshop equivalent.
Congratulations on this page!

I will check this out soon, and if it is a bug, I'll release a new version with a fix. This is not a bug in Liberty BASIC, but in LBWorkshop. Thanks very much for the report.

After installing LBW, when I try to run it, I get the error message, "Path/File Access Error". Using Windows 7.

After installing LBW, when I try to run it, I get the error message, "Path/File Access Error". Using Windows 7. Were you unable to run it at all? Or were you able to run it and set preferences? It may be looking for the most recent file to load if you activated that feature in your preferences, but if there is no file, it is failing. I don't have access to Windows 7, so I cannot test this. Try running regedit and removing all registry entries for LBWorkshop. Then try running it.

Allice: I also get the same error. There is no entry in the registery for it. I use Windows 7 x64 Bit but installed it in 32 bit mode. Same error as the others and it will not open up at all nor does it register. All the files downloaded correctly, no corruption either.

Thanks for the report. I will try again to discover what is happening. I still do not have a Windows 7 computer, so I cannot replicate the error, but I might be able to discover and fix the bug.
