Hi, I've just done a new install of LB and LBW, and when I try and run a program from LBW (by pressing the little running figure) I get an error box with "File not found:run403.TKN"
I have set the paths in LBW options to - For Liberty Basic path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Liberty BASIC v4.03\liberty.exe and and for RunTime Engine Path:RunTime engine path to C:\Program Files (x86)\Liberty BASIC v4.03\run403.exe
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? On my other computer, it works fine.
I'm using Win XP on the new installation

Are you using the buttons and filedialog to select the path? If you've typed it in, there may be an error.

Hi Alyce,
Thanks for the speedy reply. Yes, I did use the beowse buttons.
In my msg above, I cut and pasted from my desktop (Windows 7), whereas the fault is appearing on my laptop (Win XP). Henced I've quoted the paths incorrectly above, they should be - For Liberty Basic path: C:\Program Files\Liberty BASIC v4.03\liberty.exe and and for RunTime Engine Path:RunTime engine path to C:\Program Files\Liberty BASIC v4.03\run403.exe
ie, without the (x86)'s

Jim, this is a known issue with Liberty BASIC. Liberty BASIC looks for the TKN in its own directory when it is run this way, and the TKN is in your working directory. You may find that the problem is resolved in LB 4.04. The next version is not officially released, but is publicly available here: libertybasic.conforums.com/index.cgi?board=lb4alphatest&action=display&num=1222452474It is free to all who have registered versions of Liberty BASIC v 4.x

Alyce,
Apols for dely in replying, I have been away from home for a few days.
Sadly the installation of LB v 4.04 has made no difference. I have searched the complete C Drive, and only found 3 TKN files which all appear to be something to do with FreeForm.
Any other ideas?

After installing the updated Liberty BASIC v 4.04, please set the paths again in the Options dialog of LBWorkshop -- to liberty.exe, run404.tkn, etc. I just did a clean installation of Workshop on XP, loaded a file and pressed the running figure. This causes a temporary file with the extension BAK to be created. LBW then calls on liberty.exe to run this file. It works perfectly. There are no TKNs involved. Are you attempting to run BAS code, or a TKN you've created? I've use the "Liberty BASIC" menu in Workshop to run a TKN and that works fine as well. I'm stumped.

Hi Alyce,
Ah Ah - joy! I think I'm sorted!! I had the paths to run404.exe and liberty.exe in the wrong order. I now have liberty.exe on top, and run404.exe on the next slot, and it runs fine. I guess I must have reversed these at some time in my efforts to get it running.
So many thanks for your help, Alyce. I think we can put that one down to 'operator error'!!
best regards Jim
