Hi, I'm a veteran programmer, but new to Liberty Basic, and was really pleased to find Liberty Basic Workshop. An excellent piece of work, it certainly makes the learning curve easier! Within a few hours,m I seem to be getting to grips with it, and thats without reading the tutorial or referring to the help to often. I always think the product must be great if you dont have to rtfm I have come across a problem, or maybe it is something I have done. I have created a new gui form, tested it a few times, saved it a few times. Initially I could right click on any object, and get the properties to update them. Now though, rather than the normal pointer when I hover over them, I get the cross with four arrows on, and when I right click nothing happens. I have rebooted, and reloaded LB Workshop, but it is still doing it. If I create a new GUI Form, it is still doing it. I dont know if it is a bug, or maybe I have changed an option, or clicked on something. Thanks Andy

Reading the forum, there is another problem similair to mine titled "GUI Editor buggy under Win98 SE".
I am running WIndows XP. I just checked my download, which is called lbwfull.zip, which I presume is the full version including the dlls ond ocxs mentioned in that thread.
I have also tried uninstalling lbw, and reinstalling, but I am still getting the same problem.
Help... whats gone wrong.... I was just getting into the swing of using lbw, and I'm itching to get going again.
Thanks
Andy

Hi Andy,
I've tried and tried to recreate this problem, but I cannot. I'm using XP-SP2.
Does this happend when you create a new form, or only when you attempt to load an existing form from disk?

It does it on new GUI forms, and existing forms on disk. When I hover over any object, be it a button, or even static text, I get the "Move" cross hairs cursor. If I continue to hover I get the tooltip text, if I left click the button depresses. When I am not over a object, the cursor returns to a normal pointer arrow. If I right click over a button, nothing happens, but if I right click over statictext I get the copy/cut/paste menu, weird!!!! I tried applying the VB runtimes service pack, but that hasnt helped. What is strange,m is when I first installed WB Workshop it worked fine, two hours later I get this problem and it consistantly wont go away, whatever I try. I dont think I did anything to cause it, but I guess I must have done, for it to work, then suddenly stop!!! I havent installed any other software since installing WB Workshop. I am confused !!!

I simply cannot recreate this problem, Andy.
If you've registered the software, contact me privately and I'll issue a refund. You shouldn't get stuck with something that doesn't work.
Thanks.

Andy has contacted me privately with more info and I believe I've fixed the bug. If testing proves that to be true, I'll release an update.
Thanks very much, Andy!
