Hi, Would if be possible to allow a path selection for working code in Options --> Preferences --> Paths? I like to arrange my folders differently than Microsoft :-) Thanks, Barry.

I'm not sure I undersand your meaning. When would this path be used? LBW remembers your previous directory and opens there for the next filedialog. Does that accomplish the same thing for you? If not, can you explain when your working code path would be used?

The code path would be used whenever you go to "File --> Open..." or "File --> Save as..." dialogs. On my machine, both of these default to "D:" (I assume because I've installed LBW on my D drive). However, I like to keep my code in a specific folder on a different drive, so I'd like it if the default location for those dialogs could be set. Hope that clarifies... Thanks, Barry.

That's odd. LBW is set up to remember the last folder accessed. It even stores that info on close. Any time you choose to open a file, the dialog should open in the last accessed folder. It certainly does for me.

Ah - I see when both behaviours occur! But, still a bit odd.
I have a shortcut to LBW on my desktop. If I start LBW by double-clicking there, it opens and opens my last working file. In this case, the default folder is "D:\"
If I double-click on a .bas file (I've associated .bas with LBW), LBW opens with my previous working files and then opens the double-clicked file in a second window. The default folder then gets set, but I can't yet figure out how it decides which is the default folder - maybe the one I last saved a file in?
Thanks for all your help, Alyce!
