I just installed liberty basic workshop. And when I start the program a dialog box starts up saying that it is configuring logitech pocket 130 (a camera program I have on this computer) I can ,with some difficulty, cancel the operation of configuring and the program works aifter I get this annoying stuff canceled. I had this with another program that I simply took of this computer but I want to use the workshop. The other time I was told there was a registry problem. Is there some way I can nullify the apparent conflict (confusion)?

This has never been reported before.
Unless you specifically ask LBWorkshop to associate files of type BAS with LBW, it does not alter the registry.
LBWorkshop does access a special section of the registry for VB programs that has no interaction or conflict with any other part of the registry or any other programs that access the registry. Since your camera program is trying to configure something, the problem resides there. Perhaps you can open your camera program and see which defaults are in force and determine if there is something that can be modified from within the camera program so that it doesn't attempt to configure itself when new programs are installed.
I have no other suggestions. I'm sorry!

Thank you for the response. I understand about not happening before , it doesn't happen on every program I install. The onther program was a finite analysis thing and they suggested it was a registry problem. I just don't use it on his machine (bummer). I will contact logitech and see if they have any suggestions. Registries sort of scare me. I will work with this problem until I find a solution. My guess is like you logitech uses something like basic programs to run the program which takes the pics from the camera to the machine. When the camera goes belly up (no battery replacement possible) I can just uninstall it. Phil
